Mark’s speaking experience includes his roles as a:School teacher presenting on a daily basis to students in classrooms and assemblies; Lecturer in health education and teaching strategies; Educator with the Family Planning Association; Senior Education Officer with TAFE Drug and Alcohol Studies Unit (designing and delivering presentations to students, teachers and counsellors, and produced Teaching Packages and other resources) and with hospitals and Area Health Services (conducting education programs for doctors, nurses, allied medical staff, administration and support staff); Manager of Professional Development with the Centre for Education and Information on Drugs and Alcohol, NSW Health); Manager and Principal Policy Officer with NSW Police (designing and conducting programs across NSW and at the Police College, to new recruits, serving officers and administration staff, and co-designed and conducted a 7-day residential course for Police on the Management of Alcohol-Related Crime); Course designer and presenter with an AusAID program in Vietnam (designed a detailed curriculum and produced all teaching notes for a 5-day program for police and health workers); and Researcher and consultant (reporting on research results to clients, and presented to an international conference in Ireland).
