How to help your teenagers be safe when it comes to alcohol

The parents, principal and teachers of Marist College understood that their sons and daughters would probably learn, with experience and time, the strategies and skills they needed to resist the social pressures to either drink at all or to drink more than a planned limit. But why leave it to chance?

The school was keen to use Party Without Pain and asked Mark what else he could offer. He flew to Rockhampton and then hopped in a car and drove the three hours to Emerald where he delivered several class room presentations during the day and in the evening delivered a two-hour presentation titled "7 things parents can do now to help their teenagers be safe when it comes to alcohol."

Both his lessons to students and his presentation to parents were entertaining and informative, but what's more important is that both the students and parents went away with practical ideas they could immediately use.
