Mark is committed to continually improving and updating his knowledge and skills. In addition to his formal qualifications of MEd, BSc, GradDipEd, GradDipHealth, GradDipPsychology and DipHypnotherapy, he has completed many additional tertiary level courses in areas as diverse as personality theory, social psychology, psychometrics, developmental psychology, biological psychology, abnormal psychology, counselling, research methods, survey design, and statistics I, II,and III.

                      

Furthermore, he has completed numerous other courses in fields such: interpersonal communication; project management; group dynamics; group work; handling drug-affected clients; public speaking; learning styles; presentation skills; facilitation; stage mechanics; acting; influence and persuasion; dealing with difficult people; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy; Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP); and negotiation. In 2003, Mark became a full-time consultant and concentrated on: creating new education programs; presenting and delivering education; and conducting research and writing reports. For example, he produced:

                                             

  1. A training manual, and a participant manual, for the Australian Hotels Association: "Responsible Service of Alcohol".
  2. A 2-day introductory, and a 2-day advanced program, delivered across Australia for staff of Federal Members of Parliament and Senators: "Dealing with Difficult People and, at the same time, delivering Great Customer Service."
  3. A detailed step-by-step 5 day training program for police in Vietnam, China, and Myanmar: "How best to deal with HIV-infected, drug affected and drug addicted people".    
  4. A research report and strategic planning model for Local Government: "Minimising alcohol and other drug problems".

                  

The culmination: a specialist in Outstanding People Skills

                       

These days, Mark concentrates on his passion of helping individuals and teams develop Outstanding People Skills. For example, he designed, and continues to deliver, a new course for Client Services Officers, Housing NSW, and a new course for the Centre for Community Welfare Training: "Front-line communication".  He has also designed and delivered:

                

  1. Workshops for:  Go Grains Health and Nutrition Ltd.; Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) Aust; School Executives- Bowral High, Blakehurst High, Lithgow High.
  2. Conference presentations for: Information Expo Coffs Harbour; and the Primary Principals Conference in Mudgee; and
